Court of Nightmares by K.A. Knight

First of all, I want to give Katie major major props for some of the most creative sex I’ve ever read! It was dirty, hot, absolutely wild and I loved every minute of it. I did think that the ratio of steamy scenes to plot points was a bit skewed, but I won’t complain too much 😉

I would have liked to see a little more of Althea developing her powers. She seemed to go from having no powers to having a ton and knowing them effortlessly in the blink of an eye. I wanted to see more of her combat skills from before the new life, assuming that she was relatively skilled to make up for her lack of gifts, and her discovering her new powers.

Now that the negatives are out of the way, let’s talk men! I very much so enjoyed all of her men. They were each different and I really liked that every one of them wanted something unique and had their own backstories. That being said, their physical descriptions did get a little lost for me since they were revealed so quickly and all in one go, it seemed. I think spacing them out a little would’ve been really nice for their relationship development, and would’ve given me a chance to assimilate who looks like what. They were all so fun to read, though! I loved Simon and his friendship with Althea. They were adorable together, and the nostalgia scenes between the two of them were a nice touch.

I’d love to see more in this universe and see what other challenges Althea and her men face. There were a few things hinted around towards the end, and I’d love to see how things go with the dragon! All in all, a long read, but a very fun new story!
