Six Hockey Players’ Rival by Nicole Casey

3/5 stars

I love sports romance, especially hockey, but I thought this one felt disjointed. It seemed like something was missing to bring the story together.

I love Leah’s six guys, but I didn’t get to know them much. I know they are really passionate about hockey, but outside of Hugo I never learned much about their families or their personalities outside of the rink. All six of them felt static, and their bedroom chemistry felt repeated every time I read it.

I wish that Leah’s team would’ve featured a bit more. For Leah’s main focal point being to bring respect to the women’s division, nothing much really happened with them as a whole. The timing seemed a bit odd, too, that a relatively unknown team would be invited to an international tournament after only winning one game. I wanted to see her team develop a little more.

Six Hockey Players’ Rival was a quick read, but I still enjoyed it despite my gripes. I always have a good time with Nicole’s series, and this one was no different!
