Kiss and Shell – Annie Charme

Finn and Shelly are absolutely adorable together! I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with the bet trope as I think the woman always forgives the man way too quickly (can you tell I’m a Cancer? We like our grudges!), but I think it played into their story really well in this instance.

I do wish that Shelly would’ve given the presentation instead of Finn, though. I get what he was trying to do, but it felt like a huge step back for Shelly’s character. She’s this fierce, determined crusader for the cause, but she couldn’t go through with the biggest presentation they’ve been working towards because the man who broke her heart was in the room. I really wanted her to stand up and be strong in that moment, to take that step further and be fierce for her and the cause she believes in. However, it was a cute moment, so I can’t complain too loudly.

The poor girl spread out in the British tabloids, though 😂 I didn’t know if I should laugh at the sheer absurdity of it or cry for her being in that sort of position all over the papers! She handled it fairly gracefully, better than I probably would have, truth be told.

Thanks so much for letting me see this early! Every new book in this series brings something fun and flirty, and they’ve all been so much fun to read!
