I struggled big time reading this. I don’t know if it’s the fact that I’ve met many of the people in this book or if I’m reading this at a bad time, but I just felt so awkward throughout the book.

The humour fell flat for me; this particular style just isn’t in line with my style of humour. Reading about a guy in a bear suit hiding in the women’s bathroom listening to someone I’ve met pee in the next stall over or a religious man being assaulted with silicone/rubber toys (among other things in the story) just didn’t sit well with me.

While I can definitely see how a lot of people would enjoy this, I just didn’t get on with it. I wasn’t the right audience for this book.
