And the trifecta of irritation is complete: LUCY, HOW DARE YOU WRITE SUCH A GREAT BOOK????
I will say that I don’t care for Chad. It’s nothing of Lucy’s fault; his personality and mine don’t get on, so he annoys me on a fundamental level. HOWEVER, Lucy gave him a really satisfying love story, and I found myself happily getting sucked into the book anyway! And I’m glad he got his happy ending after all!
Iggy is such a relatable character, and interestingly, she’s the one who struggles the most with understanding the human approach to relationships and the like rather than the demon’s approach. My heart did break for her at the beginning when she had all those problems after our wayward trio got sentenced, and I think Lucy did a really good job of showing the uglier side of small town living.
I love how A Spark of Trouble slots in with the other books and brings their stories together. Seeing Iggy interact with Rex and Coco (and the group texts between her, Rex, and Vale) helped to bring everything full circle!
I’m so sad to be leaving Winter Bliss again, but I’ve had a great time this year, and I’m hoping to visit again sometime in the future!
