Cold Sweat – Vera Valentine

Cold Sweat was surprisingly sweet despite Red being a sugar-free punch! He’s got some smooth moves with Jules, though I’m sure being mostly glass probably helps with that 😂

Never in my life have I thought about the Kool-Aid man in any context other than the intended one, but God bless Vera for making me envision it the whole time I was reading this book. And the ollnly thought in my head was that I don’t like cherry and the only worse flavour is grape.

This story was filled with Vera’s signature puns and humour; I completely lost it at the OH YEAHHH and had to set my phone done while I wheezed my way through a fit of giggles! This was made even better by the fact that one of my friends is Kool-Aid Man in my phone because of the rather hearty OH YEAH she let loose several years ago when we were playing cornhole 💀

Cold Sweat was far more entertaining than I was expecting (and has me spending way more time than strictly necessary contemplating the logistics of a torrid affair with a pallet of Chill Assist Punch drink powder). Thank you again, Vera, for keeping my life interesting and giving me the most delightful things to think about!
