One Last Shindig – Mark Towse

Mark Towse……we need to have a conversation.

I wasn’t expecting this book to rip my heart out and have me in my feels in the end. What a fantastic cast of characters! And such interesting, Slitheen-esque creatures!

I really really didn’t want to like Erik, but he grew on me. Massive credit to Mark for making me do a complete 180 on him because I was deep in the hate train for him. He had so much growth over the book and ended up becoming a real hero. I’m really curious what happened to Jessica, though, and why he felt a lot of guilt toward her.

And Tom! Tom was easily my favourite character. I enjoyed the way he was described and his more reserved nature compared to the rest of the characters. He was a great character to read, and my heart bleeds for him in more ways than one.

One Last Shindig was a wild ride! With tons of silly one liners (I really must find a reason to tell someone they’re acting like a right banana) and lots of shocking action, this bus ride from hell will keep you guessing from start to finish. So grab your muscle spray, buckle up, and get ready for the ride of your life!
