The Twitching House was surprisingly charming! I wasn’t sure what to expect of a book told from the point of view of a mouse, but it was such a unique perspective, and I loved it!
I got really attached to these characters throughout the book, especially the family living in the Red House. Despite them not necessarily being the focus of the story, they were still fleshed out in a way that I appreciated for side characters. And Nettle and Sorrel! They grew on me a lot, for sure!
The revelation of who/what the bad guy is was fascinating as well. I loved the execution of his story and the connection with all the animals whose features were popping up all over the house. It added another layer to the story and the horror of what was happening.
What a cool, unique idea for a book! This concept isn’t something I’d normally seek out, but I’m so glad that I gave it a chance. Ben has a way of completely drawing me in, and quite frankly, I’d probably read the phone book if he rewrote it 🤷♀️
