Ronnie Rocket over here giving us the hot takes as soon as the book opens 😂 his article reviewing KMBS’ new album made me laugh because we all have that one band that we really wish would just release music like they used to and quit sounding so whiny!

Matthew is doing something interesting in that he’s releasing this series out of order. For me, it does make context a little confusing, but I’m enjoying the journey a lot. It’s fun to be introduced to a character in the later part of his journey and go back later to learn how he got to that point.

I kind of sympathised more with Mike in this one; trying to find work and make money but living through a lot of unfulfilling days. And, honestly, working in sales would make anyone fly off the handle into a rampage! I’m really intrigued to read the “first” book in the series now to see what led to him working for the kind-of-sort-of cable company and the consequences of the release of KMBS’ first album.
