**MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR TRIGGERS**
I was hoping that Dog Days of Youth would answer some questions for me that I had lingering from the other two books, but I think I left it more confused than ever.
I didn’t realize, or maybe forgot, that Other Mike was also in a band or trying to form one at some point. So then, when the POV transitioned from KMBS Mike to Other Mike, I was a bit lost and thought we were still with KMBS Mike. It wasn’t super clear to me that the transition had been made.
One thing I did appreciate was the warning at the beginning, even if I felt it was a touch dismissive in tone. There is something in this book that is a major trigger for some, so if you do read this book, definitely take the warning seriously and protect your mental health! While it does give away the major plot point of the book, you don’t want to go into it blind and suddenly be hit with the event.
It was pretty interesting to finally see how Other Mike started out since the previous books introduced you to a later version of him. And to see the wall of sound that was KMBS’ debut!
Now that the first 3 books are out, I may go back and read them in chronological order now to see if my blanks will get filled in while I wait for book 4 to come in September.
