Romanced by the Rat – G.M. Fairy

Alright, real talk….I struggled with Romanced by the Rat.

This book is very much Ratatouille with sex, which I’m not overly upset about. However, Ramsay being a rat does make for a couple pretty uncomfortable moments (him “releasing” in Jeremy’s hair, for one) that took me a bit out of the story. The whole human sized tail thing too was giving me major Jeff Goldblum The Fly vibes.

Something about the pacing of this book also threw me off. It’s really fast paced and the characters didn’t seem to have much depth to them outside of wanting to sex each other up. I felt like they could’ve been utilized a little more to give me a better idea of who they are as people.

Romanced by the Rat is…interesting. It wasn’t really for me, but it was a fairly entertaining read nonetheless.
