Where I live is pretty much surrounded by corn and beans, and I don’t think I’ll ever look at them the same again…..

Full disclosure, I’ve never seen a scarecrow in person but they always freak me out whenever they’re mentioned in stories or TV. There’s something about them that makes me really anxious, and Eric capitalized on every bit of that in Donn, TX 1969. I absolutely hate that his scarecrows talk and rasp and laugh…..they make my skin crawl. No thank you! Hard pass!

This story is pretty short, but Eric still managed to make me care about the characters enough that I was really hoping for a good end despite knowing that was extraordinarily unlikely.

I can’t wait to continue through this series and learn more about this small Texas town and what exactly is going on here. Until the next harvest!
