I tell you what, I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy that a character got exactly what they deserved (except maybe Kai in The Island Mother) more than I was in this story with Ron!

Ron is a miserable man doing clown gigs because his career as a stand-up comedian fell apart. He’s a drunk who hates near everyone around him and wishes nasty things would happen to them, but what would happen if suddenly those wishes started coming true?

The structure of this story did confuse me a little as to time passing. I’m not sure how much time passed between Ron’s comedian act ending and starting the clown gig, so it made the actual storyline a bit too vague for me. I think I’d have liked this to be a little longer also so that the characters and the world itself outside of Ron could develop more.

This was a fun little cautionary reminder to be careful what you wish for, though!
