Raul is so gone for Layla and I’m absolutely here for it 😍 man, that scene with the two of them…..nuclear! I need that man in this relationship, pronto.
I really wanted Layla to be a bit more upset with Cal and Ink for how they acted at the start. Her just forgiving them after everything was a little contrived to me. I definitely wanted her to forgive them, but I think she could’ve been hurt and upset for a bit. She was very entitled to at least that.
I enjoyed seeing all the new creatures in this book. We haven’t really seen many different things up to this point, so I liked the glimpse into what else is out there in the world. Really interesting and creative!
Things are starting to come to a head and I feel like something’s gotta give soon. Maybe in the next book? Time will tell!
