Twisted Tales of Halloween Horror by The Sisterhood of the Black Pen

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Twisted Tales of Halloween Horror brings 11 chilling stories about Devil’s Night and Samhain. With new takes on some classic Halloween legends and some chilling new stories, The Sisterhood of the Black Pen has created a dynamite horror anthology!

There isn’t a single bad story in this set, and I was captivated from the moment I opened the book on my Kindle. I couldn’t stop reading, and before I knew it, I was at the end and wishing for more!

It’s so hard to pick a favourite, but Mirror, Mirror absolutely stole the show! I’ve never really imagined Bloody Mary in this scenario, and it’s so tragic to think about the legend continuing in the manner that Laurae Knight portrayed it. It’s an absolutely fascinating take on a story that we all know and love, and Laurae brought something new and unique to keep the story interesting!

Ouija Board was a really fun read! It took the classic vengeful ghost scenario and turned it on its head to give the trope a new depth. I really have to give Kari Robins props for taking a concept that can be hard not to make cliché and making it shine in a way that not many can.

Hungry by A.C. Salazar left me aching for more. I was so enthralled by the concept of this story, and I was really disappointed when it ended! I’d absolutely love to know more about the universe and what happens with Charlie and Ava. Is Ava able to get through to her? Does Charlie eat her anyway? Do Charlie, Ava, and the Bogeyman make up some twisted, demented family? All very important questions!

I could go on forever talking about how fun and exciting this collection was to read! Every story in it was beautifully written and expertly crafted. I’d like to give a big thank you to The Sisterhood for letting me read this, and I’ve definitely got my eye on them for what they release next!
