Brad, Unwound – Jamie Kort

4/5 stars

…Brad’s a bit of a psycho, isn’t he? I knew he was rough from the first book, but this takes it to another level. Poor Camille, and Camille, and Camille, and….

I feel like I need to give my sock drawer a good side eye when I’m in my bedroom. Maybe put a lock on it in case anyone gets any strange ideas. Definitely need to hide any knitting needles or crochet hooks.

This was a delightful read about a sock’s descent into non-consensual knitting and his quest to make all his creations perfect, whether they want his help or not. I never thought I’d simultaneously feel sorry for a group of very sad socks and completely unnerved by the thought of suddenly being faced with that many googly eyes staring at me.

Brad, Unwound was fun, mildly concerning, and cause for suspicion, but I loved every second of this short read!
