Ravenor Returned – Dan Abnett

Ravenor Returned is the second book in the Ravenor trilogy and boy, did the action pick up! This book made me excited for this series in the way that I had hoped the first one would.

I’m so excited to see what’s going to happen with Thonius and his extra……abilities. He was one of my favourite characters in the first book and the way Abnett is developing him as the series goes on is so good! It has me wanting to read quicker just to see what he’s going to do next.

If I’m going to knock anything though, it’ll be that Ravenor seems to be following the exact (or similar) formula to Eisenhorn. It’s a similar enough storyline that I do wish there were more differences. They’re both vastly different in how they approach being an Inquisitor, but because there are such similarities in their paths, I can’t help but keep comparing them.

Things are really picking up now…..let’s see where we go from here!
